Can you pick up satellite radio while in flight at cruising altitude?

Question

I was wondering if my new stiletto would work at 30K feet, regardless if commercial flights allow it or not. Would I need to sit next to a window, or does being that high in the sky negate the clear view of the sky rule?

It will work if aimed at the place you are supposed to but most using Sat radio have the antennas on the outside.. wouldn't know actually if it will pick it up because of the metal.

but nope..next to a window that is in the direction the sat company wants it aimed
