  1. hardy cyclamen will ome up year after, year, but their is also a tropical cyclamen that is an indoors plant.

the hardy cycleame can be planted now if their arent blooms and they will bloom in the fall, and again in the spring. most are perennials. te best time to find and plant cyclemens is in the spring when it is in bloom so it has a year to get established

  2. Here in Northern Ca it's a winter blooming plant (and my favorite winter plant).  They start flowering in Nov and finish up flowering about April.  About 85% of my cyclamen return so I think that they are a good investment.  Did you know that some of them have a wonderful fragrance?  It's as rich a fragrance as Chanel no 5! On the other hand most are just sort of dusty smelling. Usually the ones with the smaller leaves and flowers are fragrant. If the plants are going to be in a raised planter or windowbox that may be a consideration for you.

  3. Yes, a Cyclamen can be planted in an outside garden and tended properly - weeded and watered - it should continue growing in a temperate zone. The flowers should bloom during Spring through Summer.

  4. Cyclamen is generally an indoor plant but you may be able to keep it outside during the summer depending on where you live.

  5. there are the hybridized cyclamen, the large flowered types some of which are hardy. there is also the small woodland cyclamen which is as hardy as a polar bear. So you will have to ascertain which type you have. You can put any cyclamen out for the summer, but the tender type will have to be brought into frost free environs for winter..

  6. Cyclamen are varied.  The ones here (AZ) prefer shade and grow back every year.
