  1. The other guy explained it perfectly, but I'll explain what a Counter Trap actually is because that's where you seem to be a bit confused.  First off, they are not the same as Quickplay Spells.  They may have the same "Speed" as a Counter Trap, but are still traps nonetheless and have to be played like them.  What makes a Counter Trap so special is that they can't be stopped unless it is by another Counter Trap.  For example, your opponent activates Mirror Force in response to your attack and you activate Solemn Judgment.  Your opponent can now only activate another Counter Trap and only if it would negate Solemn Judgments effect.  I'll give you another example of a different, more advanced situation.  Say your opponent summons a Monarch (any one will do for this example), and you activate Pulling the Rug, then your opponent activates Dark Bribe.  Now the only thing you have face-down is Forced Back.  Now even though Forced Back is a Counter Trap, you can't activate it in this situation as it is not negating Dark Bribe's effect.  I hope all of this helped to expalin it a little better.

  2. no

  3. No, they are Trap Cards, and thus be set face-down for a turn. That means they can be used during your opponent's turn, but they cannot be played like Quick Play Spell Cards.
