  1. Lord of the Rings RISK is good versus evil team play.

  2. Probably

  3. No, there are no official rules for playing Risk with teams. However, that doesn't mean you cannot play with teams.

If you play with teams, I would recommend the following:

Teams play with similar colors to make it easier to tell them apart. For example, one team plays with the green, blue and black pieces (the cool colors) while the other team plays with the red, yellow and the remaining color (the warm colors). (The remaining color varies with the edition of Risk you will be playing with.)

Each team rolls dice to see which team will go first. Then play should proceed as follows:

If there are two players on each team, the turn order should be:

    Team 1 Player 1

    Team 2 Player 1

    Team 2 Player 2

    Team 1 Player 2

Repeat as necessary until one team wins.

If there are three players on each team, the turn order should be:

    Team 1 Player 1

    Team 2 Player 1

    Team 2 Player 2

    Team 1 Player 2

    Team 1 Player 3

    Team 2 Player 3

    Team 2 Player 1

    Team 1 Player 1

    Team 1 Player 2

    Team 2 Player 2

    Team 2 Player 3

    Team 1 Player 3

Repeat as necessary until one team wins.

It is interesting to note that many games of Risk turn out to be team games anyway. People make verbal contracts all the time when playing the game. Non-aggression pacts (each player in the agreement promises not to attack the other) and alliances (each player in the agreement pledges to gang up on one or more players who are running away with the game) are commonplace, and should be, not just allowed, but encouraged. Keep in mind, though, that verbal contracts are very fragile in a game where there is only one winner!

  4. if you are having a family game or having fun with your mates then its up to you guys to decide.you are not meant to have teams but its up to you. you are allowed however alliances i think. there are new risks like lord of the rings, transformers etc where you do have teams

  5. Why would you play in team. play individually and make verbal partnerships.  It much more fun to chose to stab your friends in the back :P. The only rule difference would be an alliance victory at the end of the game when two players on the same team are the only players left is the game over or should they fight it out to the end? In reality its up to you how you play the game and when you end it.

Or you could just have two people controlling the one colour and discussing strategies as secretly as possible.

  6. not that I know of but u can always double team people which is funny to get them all mad.
