  1. 1) Yes you can play the PS3 on a 480i SDTV.

    2) Yes, every PS3 comes with the standard composite cables. They are the only audio/video cables included.

If you meant component cables (which offer better picture for TVs that support it), then no, they aren't included and would have to be purchased separately.

I would recommend upgrading to an HDTV in the future. The picture quality is much better. While you save up though, the SDTV will work fine.

  2. 1. Yes you can

    2. It only comes with standard composite cables ( they're red, yellow, and white)

Don't get them confused with "component" cables, they're two completely different things.

To eliminate confusion, I'll list the cables you can use for picture/audio from worst to best in terms of picture and sound quality:

    ( worst)Composite, S-Video, Component, HDMI ( best)

  3. Yes you can play on a sdtv. The only big difference is when you watch a blu-ray movie on sdtv, you won't get the high def graphics. It doesn't come with composite cables but your a/v PS2 cables will work ! If not you can get cables for around $30 !
