I was wondering if I could play college golf while I go and get an MBA?

I didn't play college golf and my school didn't offer it.

  1. You probably can.  It will depend on the conference rules for the school you attend, but I know most NCAA conferences allow four years of eligibility to play sports.  Since you did not use up any years during undergraduate you should be OK to play in grad school.  I have seen many football players that red-shirted a year or two early on, and the only reason they go to grad school at all is to play more football in hopes of being drafted into the NFL.

  2. You would just have to check with the NCAA to see if you have any eligibility left to play sports.  If your last school didn't offer golf, you may be able to play.  There may also be an exception if you are going up or down in college size, such as Division 1, 2, etc.

  3. Here's a link to the explanation on the NCAA website. It's kind of complicated, so you might want to read it yourself. I think it says you need to be within 5 years of the date you first entered college, but I'm not sure. And the rules get really complex if you go to a different grad school.
