Question:

Can you play football without asthma medication like Biden did?

So, Biden received 5 deferments from the draft because of asthma, but in his book he said he had an "active" childhood, including such things as being a lifeguard and playing football.

Interesting... in that quality asthma medications weren't around during his childhood years.

Does it appear he skipped, wiggled, avoided the draft as shamefully as other politicians whose feet have been held to the fire for the past 8 years? Someone care to spin (sorry, explain) how Biden's obvious avoidance of service is different from say, Cheney's?

  1. i clinically have asthma, might keep me out of the air force academy, but i still am active as i swim, bike, and run several times a week and i never use any medicine.

  2. I'm thinking your not a journalists.

Things such as this will never be investigated, even by "investigative" reporters.

The astonishing thing to the coverage is the total lack of stories in the mainstream media about Obama's career before he became a US Senator.  There is either nothing value he accomplished, or there is much to be  covered up.

To the media, Obama was born 3 years ago.

It is a fair question you ask, but it will be discarded out of hand because of lack of evidence.

Then those same people, will post a question asking things such as:

Why is Bush getting rich off of Iraqi oil?

Why did Bush order the 911 attacks?

Why Bush is the cause of "all our misery"

Evidence if conveniently not needed in their questions.

  3. Yes, he is a draft-dodging lowlife like Clinton is. No honor at all among these liberal heroes.

  4. Yes, like most Vietnam era college and law students, Biden got an annual deferment.

It's very possible that he had asthma as a teen; a lot of guys "outgrow" it.  There's nothing in the news reports that says he did not use medication.

The military gave asthma deferments because some guys (even those who had been symptom free for a while), would have a serious attack while under stress in the humid, moldy jungles and rice paddies of Vietnam.

  5. DOESN'T THIS SOUND LIKE RUSH?  SEEM LIKE HE COULDN'T

GO TO THE MILITARY DUE TO HIS BACK BUT YET HE SEEM

TO NOT HAVE ANY TROUBLE PLAYING GOLF FOR EXAMPLE.

MUST BE HIS GOOD DRUGS !!

  6. Who knows and who cares about something he did in childhood sports.

Asthma is a horrible disease and would keep someone from being in the military. What if the solder had an asthma attack and couldn't defend his troops.Perhaps the asthma attack would draw attention to their location and his whole platoon discovered. You are saying that he should have been NOT been exempt? In the military lives are at stake. In sports there are no lives at stake.  Perhaps, as a former military brat I am a little more informed about the horrors of war, but I sure wouldn't want out troops lives to be endangered.

On the other hand, I also know that the sons of the Elitists seldom saw combat in any of the major wars, unless he had political aspirations. I still think that Biden is a good man.

    Peace
