Okay, I'll admit that I'm blowing off a little steam here, after answering the same "Pool and Snooker" questions over and over.

What's YOUR "Broomstick Pool" story? Do you even have one (or two)?

Me? ...... I HAVE played in a few broomstick tournaments --won 'em both ----and swept up the joint afterward!!? One was Scotch 8-Ball. The other was an Open 8-Ball tournament. Broomstick tournaments are a blast! You CANNOT modify, cut, shape, or alter the "tip" of the broomstick in any way. The chalk sure takes a beating, however ....HA!

Let's hear it!

  1. I could play with a baseball bat or a hockey stick if I had to.

    Yes...this is a REAL answer!!!

I'm a good pool player and I know Hai Karate...

    Nobody Fhttts!!!  with me.

  2. Bout 10 games a week "You got the 8"  $10 on the 5    $20 on the 9

  3. I never played in a "broomstick" tournament but it sounds like more fun than serious.

My next door neighbor bought an 8-foot table and after practicing for two weeks began bragging about how good he was getting. Just kidding around with him I told him I could beat him with a broomstick and (using the ol' Fats trick) I'd also stand on one leg while doing it.

He laughed. Until I beat him 3 out of 4 games and ran the last five balls in the final game. He about stroked out... pardon the pun. When last seen he was practicing again.

  4. If you really want to then you can.

  5. In an older version of pool the Cue was used with the butt end making contact with the ball. Over the years it has been turned around and leather tips added. So yeah play with a broomstick.
