  1. For DNS setup read this article...

    Since you didn't say if you wanted a DNS server or client nor FTP server or client etc you have to peel out what you want and use the part you needed. (The distribution you use of linux also makes a slight difference.)  

    These are not trivial setups for servers!  

    Easy if you just want to use the client portions.


  2. For DNS you will probably be using bind/Named, you will need to edit named.conf on /etc and create the db file as well - google named howto to get complete information

    As for FTP it really depends on what your are using, menaing which FTP is installed if your using vsftp, you will need to create/edit, vsftpd.conf(as I can rememdber) you might also want to jail the user to its directory, search google for complete detaisl as the first guys said its a bit long to get your answers here, but tips I gave you should give you some idea and google search of the keyword above would give you complete howto

  3. It's not simple.

    You are asking too much here.

    google it and read instructions or go buy linux book.
