Mr.Battle has 2 jobs offersas a car salses person. At one dealership, he will receive $600 per month plus a commission of 2% of the total price of the automoblies he sells.At the other dealership, he will receive $1000 per month plus a commission of 1.5% of his total sales.

What is the total price of the cars that Mr.Battle must sell each month to make the same income from either dealership? Using substitution.

  1. you've go to use percentage on this. and make sure you learn it because problems like this or ' combo ' problems like it will be there till you graduate from HS.


  2. To answer you basic questions--ASAP stands for "As Soon As Possible".

  3. 2%=.02

    1.5%=.015

    600 + .02x = 1000 + .015x

    Solve for x.

  5. I'm not a math teacher but I believe the answer is $80,000. Set up the problem as an equation and solve for X.    $660 + (2%) X = $1,000 + (1.5%) X    If he sells $80,000 in either dealership he would make $2,200. At least it worked on this little piece of scrap paper I just worked it out on. lol
