I don't know which of these scriptures are truly inspired by God. God seems to change his mind a lot, often within a spans of just few pages. Which of these did God *really* mean??:

James 1:13: "Let no man say I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man."

Genesis 22:1: "And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham."

--------------------------------------...

Jeremiah 3:12: "For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever."

Jeremiah 17:4: "Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever."

--------------------------------------...

John 5:31: "If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid."

John 8:14: "Jesus answered: Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid."

--------------------------------------...

John 9:39: "And Jesus said, "For judgment I am come into this world."

John 12:47: "I came not to judge the world"

  2.   None of this was inspired by God.  .Read the true words of the Creator God in the Conversations with God books by Neale Donald Walsch.  .Do you really believe the creator of all could have a part in such nonsense?  God bless you..

  3. You're taking those verses out of context.  And, when you look up the individual words in the Hebrew/Greek concordance, you'll usually find that tempted/tempted, anger/anger, testify/testify, and judge/judge are different words and have different meanings.  I've found there are several words Jesus uses that the King James Version translates as "judge", yet they have totally different meanings.

    God meant all of them.

  4. How basic can you get?

James 1:13 - God doesn't tempt any man with evil.

Genesis 22:1 - God tested Abraham or tried Abraham or tempted Abraham- this mentions no evil

Jeremiah 3:12 God will not be angry with Israel forever

Jeremiah 17:4 God's kindled fire that burns forever is for those who forsake God.

John 5:31:  Jesus said "If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true or valid as testimony."  It took more than one witness to testify to something.

John 8:14 "Jesus said, "Though I bear record of Myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but you cannot tell where I come, and where I go."

John 9:39 "And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they whcih see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. Verse 41:  Jesus said "If you were blind, you should have no sin, but now you say, We see: therefore your sin remains."

Jesus was telling the Pharisees that they were professing to know about the Lord and they were blind vipers that could see nothing.

John 12:47  "And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that jedges him:  the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself, but the Father which sent Me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak."

Jesus was saying that He said nothing but what God wanted Him to say.  He was God in the flesh and He wasn't there at that time to judge them, but if He judged His judgment would be true, but the Judgment was set for the last day.

Anyone reading what I have typed will understand.  You choose to distort the Word of God and deceive many.  You are exposed even though it took many letters of typing.

  5. Yes, I can explain it and I believe it would make sense to you. How can you assure me I would not be wasting my time? Your user name seems to indicate you have made up your mind. Why should I think otherwise?

  6. This is a joke, right??

Everyone knows that the bible is simply the musings, folk lore and history of a group of starving stone age shepherds.... It's just like any other holy book... all the same...same dog, different collar.

When you belive in the literal truth of some 2000 year old document, at least realize where it came from.... and how many othe rholy books  there are.

Faith is just that  faith.   No proof, none wanted, none needed.  And along with blind faith comes a low IQ, or an inability to read, failure in your hs biology class, inability to understand evolution, and tons of other problems with the way one's mind works.

I gave up sky daddies at age 8.

  7. Checkmate.

  8. Get yourself a Strong's Concordance, and keep things within proper context. All will be made clear to you.

  9. Biblical god doesn't exist.  Bible is (poor) fiction.  Problem solved.

  10. In James 1:13 God is talking about tempting u to commit sin.

In Genesis 22:1 tempt pretty much means test, testing Abraham.

In Jeremiah 3:12 he was pleading to Israel to come back to him. He loves them that's his way of saying I love u I promise I won't be angry forever if u come back to me.

In Jeremiah 17:4 God was warning Israel not to do something or else he will become angry about it forever. Those scriptures were about two different situations.

In John 5:31and John 8:14 is pretty much allowing u to see that God and the son (Jesus christ) is one.

In John 9:39 He's trying to say that he don't want those that will try to prove him wrong to see who he REALLY is which is the savior. If they knew that they would have never crucified Jesus. and John 12:47 he's simply stating why he's on earth; his purpose for coming. His purpose was to redeem those who need or want redeeming.

  11. Man made the Bible and did not have a very good connection to editors.

  12. You can't take a verse out of context. It would never make sense

Study a good life-application Bible and the Spirit of the Lord will reveal His truth to you.

    God bless

  13. hahaha happy

    i love it, wow,

no wonder many religious people are so confused and messed up

im gonna copy this..is that ok

  14. The answer to your first question is God didnt temp Abraham it is translated as he tested Abraham so that is wrong. The answer to your second question is God wanted Israel to repent towards him and stop worshipping idols. They upset him and he sent them into exile for 70 years. But when Christ came into world all who accept God's grace through him will not be victims of God's wrath. The answer to your 3rd question is easy. Jesus was created before the world was even here as the image of the only true living God. He is the only one who walked the earth that actually seen who God is. He is God in the flesh. So him being perfect as he never sinned, he is God in the flesh. And God's testimony is the greatest and doesnt need witnesses. Human testimony needs 2 witnesses however God's testimony needs none. Jesus was God the Son. Jesus didnt come into the world to judge it but to save it. He will come back to judge the world. When he was brought here it was to get sinners to repent towards God. When he comes back it will be to condemn sinners who didnt repent towards God.

  15. Read them in context, taken out of context you may fail to get the messege, also do pray for light and go to an authority in scripture to enlighten you. tempt and test, meerciful and yet also just, in %.31 He quote jthe jewish way of testimony but goes on to say that as God He need no man's support as He is Truth itself, .. pray read and maybe try becoming Catholic, it will clear much of the apparent contradictions from your mind

  16. First is a very well known mistranslation of the Greek word.  Teh word s/b try

    nacah {naw-saw'}

    Hebrew: verb

    Possible Definitions:

    1) to test, try, prove, tempt, assay, put to the proof/test

       1a) (Piel)

           1) to test, try

           2) to attempt, assay, try

           3) to test, try, prove, tempt

    nacah {naw-saw'}

    =============

You are taking the verse out of context, I hope an honest mistake.  He was refering to the sins if Judah, and did they not pay when they were unrighteous.  If they were not as it says later his anger would be turned away.

Instruments for engraving on metal had metaphorically engraved the hard hearts and the altars of apostate Israel, and because they continued their idolatry, they were losing their land and spiritual heritage (Jer. 17:1-4; on the craft of engraving

    or

    39. 'I am come into the world to sit in judgment upon all men, to divide them into two camps by their acceptance or rejection of my word. Those who are spiritually blind have their eyes opened through obedience to my gospel and shall see the things of the Spirit. Those who think they can see in the spiritual realm, but who do not accept me and my gospel shall remain in darkness and be made blind to the true spiritual realities.'

    or

47-48. 'If a man who hears the gospel message does not receive it, I as a teacher will not condemn him; for as a missionary I came to save and not to d**n, and perhaps he will later repent and believe. But if that man does not repent, and finally rejects me and my gospel, he will be judged and condemned by my words at the day of judgment.'

  17. Yes, I can explain that.

The bible was man made.  God is not a bigot.

  18. God doesn't contradict himself. Read the passages in context. If you still don't understand, ask a church leader.
