  1. get off the plane

follow the signs for baggage claim

Wait 10 minutes to get your bag

Give someone a slip so they can check that you ahve the correct bag

leave with whoever your meeting there

  2. It depends if it's domestic or international.

Domestic--you leave the plane, walk to baggage claim, get your bags and leave.

International--you leave the plane, walk through immigration (where they check your passport), go to baggage claim, pick up your bags, go through customs, then you're out.

  3. 1) You get off the plane

    2) You have to go through this pretty long line up, where they check your passports and documents.

    3) You pick up your luggage.

(Each airport has slightly different steps, I'm from Vancouver, so this is from the YVR. However, you can just follow the signs, I'm sure they'll tell you)

  4. If you're flying domestic, just floow the signs to Baggage claim, the flight attendant will announce the baggage belt before you exit or there may be signs indicating which belt will have your flight's luggage. Pick up your bag and go.. thats it.

If you are flying international then Before the flight lands the flight attendants give you 2 forms customs clearnace form and immigration form.  Fill up these forms before you land.

Once you get down from the plane there are 3 steps.. immigration, baggage claim and customs. There will be big signs directing you to to proper location.

step 1 - Immigration -  Hand over the passport and immigration form to the immigration officer. they check ur passport, may ask some question about the reason for ur travel, where u'll be staying etc... then they stamp u passport with your arrival imformation etc.

step 2 - baggage claim - get your bags and then go to the customs line..

step 3 - go thr' customs clearnace. In some countries they scan your bags, may ask you to open if they think there is anyhting in the bags  that is prohibited. Sometimes you need to pay customs duty on some items.

Once customs check is done you can leave the airport.
