  2. I am not sure that I understand your complete question.  However I will give it a try.

    If you are asking what the difference is between a passive verb and and active verb.   In the English language, active verbs usually end in "ing"...like talk(ing) walk(ing) etc.  in the passive tensed it would be talk (ed) or walk(ed)  no being the English language, this is only a rule of thumb for spelling...one of the exceptions would be  Know, know(ing) for active, and knew for past tense.  no wonder English is hard to learn as a second language.
