Can you please explain to me what is a External and Internal conflict? (Language Arts)?

  1. External conflict comes from outside the character - being caught in a blizzard while climbing a mountain, being wronged by someone else, being attacked.

    Internal conflict comes from within the character - dealing with bitterness, struggling over making a decision, guilt over a bad decision.

  2. Something that is internal is something that is within, so for example: A link to another Yahoo website is an internal link because it's Yahoo. External is the oppisite. Lets say I gave out a link to google now, that would be an EXTERNAL link because it has nothing to do with Yahoo.

    That's basically it but it isn't restricted to websites, I just used that as an example!

  3. external conflicts are those that you have with other people/objects.  Can be a physical altercation with another human, or even an emotional one.  

    Internal are those you have amongst yourself (like mind/emotion/feelings).  

    to put it simply.

  4. external is like things on the outside causing problems - like a tornado

    internal is problems from the inside - like depression
