Bread.

Bread is created by mixing ground wheat seeds ("flour") with water and the biotechnological component - Saccharomyces cerevisiae (bakers' yeast). This mixture is called dough.

The biological action of the yeast, anaerobically respiring to produce carbon dioxide and alcohol causes the dough to rise, as bubbles of CO2 form in it.

After an appropriate amount of time, the dough is baked in an oven. This kills the yeast, and evaporates off the alcohol waste-product, and results in a loaf of bread.
