Hey.

I have to make a concept map of matter and i don't know what order to branch off these things. i have a big list of words that I have to use in the map:

dilute dissolve law of conservation of matter matter plasma solubility solute solution solvent stater of matter (gas liquid solid) boiling point chemical change chemical properties chemical reaction combustibility melting point physical change physical properties precipitate reactivity elements atoms componds molecules mixtures proton electron neutron nucleus

So can anyone help me, or provide me a link to help me.

Thanks sooo much in advance!

  1. You need to start with the word "matter" in the middle.  Next, figure out what descriptions or aspects apply directly to matter.  From your list I would pick the following: state of matter, chemical properties, physical properties, and elements.

From "state of matter" I would put lines to gas, liquid and solid.

From "chemical properties" put lines to chemical change, chemical reation, combustibility, precipitate, and reactivity

From "physical properties" put lines to solubility, melting point, and boiling point

From "elements" put lines to molecules, protons, electrons, neutrons, and nucleus.  From those, put lines to mixtures and compounds.

You may find other places that you find relationships between things after you do this, so you can draw more lines there too.
