Can you please help me out?

If i want to delete my curent yahoo ID and make a new one, then can i tranfer all of the information from this account into the new one?

Are you talking about email?  Or your "My Yahoo" page?  

If for email, no.. there's no way of transferring your contacts or your emails.  You can take any emails you want to save and forward each, one by one, to the new account one at a time.

Contacts:  Click on your Contacts tab.  You will see an "Import/"Export option there.  You want to "Export", so choose that option.  If you're not sure, there's a box on the right "Help exporting to:"  Then a link to select listed.
