  1. well, could you tell me the level, and I'd be glad to help!!

  2. Hi Niall, I've seen you post a few times so I know you have new skates and you're a beginner, right?  Correct me if I got that wrong.

Everyone starts out with the simple stuff and even elite skaters warm up with the simplest moves.

Swizzle:  Put your feet together in a V with your heels together and your toes pointing out.  BEND your knees, then push out and in.  You should make a () on the ice - push out in a curve, then pull your legs back in together.  As long as you really bend your knees - not your waist, your knees - and pull your feet back together on the curve back in you can really get a powerful push this way.

2-foot glide: swizzle a few times to get speed then glide forward on two feet.  When you feel pretty confident, try lifting one foot to ankle height. You'll have to shift your weight onto the leg that stays on the ice or you'll fall right back down onto your other foot.

Backwards wiggles:  bend your legs, then shake your booty side to side.  This moves you backwards and when you get the hang of it, try pushing more on your inside edge with each wiggle.

  3. Sorry, I have trouble even walking on ice and not falling.
