Can you please help me with my T9 (word) mode for texting?

I have a samsung at&t cell and i text and i wanna spell the word "to"

but when i do the first thing it gives me before i press 0 to change it is 86.

how do i make it so when i press the numbers, the first thing it will give me is "to"
