Can you please suggest a long weekend getaway in the United States?

My husband and I are looking for somewhere to spend our 10 year anniversary in Feb. We don't get much alone time so we would prefer something quiet and romantic with beautiful scenery,but will consider all suggestions. Thanks.

If want quiet AND romantic then I would suggest Asheville, NC.  Lots of great places to stay from county inns, bed and breakfast inns, to resorts.

My absolute favorite getaway place to stay is south west of Asheville at a country inn called Balsam Mountain Inn.  It is a bed and breakfast style inn with dinner available in the dining room, claw foot tubs in the bathrooms, steam radiator heat in the winter and ceiling fans in the summer for cooling.  There a library on the first floor with a hot beverage serve yourself bar, a double sided fire place in the lobby, and brass keys for the room doors.

They do offer a lot more information on their website.  Be warned though, you will need to be self entertaining as there are NO televisions  or radios in any of the rooms.  That is really part of the romance, charm, and in keeping with the age of the restored inn.  

My second favorite place to stay for romance is the Inn at Biltmore, pricey but elegant.  Packages are available that will include meals and tour tickets of the Biltmore Estate.

The first thing I thought of was Napa Valley, so now you have two votes for there!

Also, Sanibel Island in Florida is quiet and very pretty, if you are beach people.

A final option might be Savannah or Charleston.  They are both pretty cities and both are close to pretty mountains/scenery/beaches.
