Of course we know that homosexuality has been declassified as a mental illness. The following organizations agree that homosexuality isn't a sickness, is unchosen, unchangeable, and is as natural as heterosexuality:

American Psychiatric Association

American Psychological Association

American Counseling Association

American Bar Association

American Academy of Pediatrics

American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy

American Psychoanalytic Association

American Anthropoligical Association

American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

American Medical Association

Child Welfare League of America

American Academy of Family Physicians

North American Council on Adoptable Children

American School Counselor Association

National Association of School Psychologists

Now, opponents of homosexuality are saying that these mental health communities have recieved "death threats" to remove homosexuality from the list of mental disorders.

Does anyone else believe that that belief is absurd? I mean, these are professional organizations. If they were threatened, there were other things they could do instead of caving in. They didn't do those things which shows they were NOT threatened!

And these organizations have done their studies more than once! Did they recieve a threat to remove homosexuality from the list of mental disorders once and took it off without doing any extensive research? I don't think so!

And the argument that they pose (especially NARTH) is that the American Psychiatric Association is wrong in saying homosexuality is not a mental disorder. But why don't they quote the other 10 or so organizations as well??

  1. These organizations do not find results to suit a preconceived opinion, but base their decisions on the truth.

NARTH has a preconceived opinion, and many of their facts are misrepresentations. Francis Collins, of the Human Genome Project and quoted by NARTH, has said "The words quoted by NARTH all come from the Appendix to my book “The Language of God” (pp. 260-263), but have been juxtaposed in a way that suggests a somewhat different conclusion that I intended. I would urge anyone who is concerned about the meaning to refer back to the original text. The evidence we have at present strongly supports the proposition that there are hereditary factors in male homosexuality." & "No one has yet identified an actual gene that contributes to the hereditary component... but it is likely that such genes will be found in the next few years."

Scientists do not base research on finding a certain outcome, and usually do double-blind studies in order to show their results as unbiased. These results have repeatedly, consistently, and overwhelmingly shown that homosexuality is neither a choice not an illness and is a biological genetic occurrence.

  2. Anyone who actually sends death threats to these organizations is seriously demented.

  3. Yes that's insane. They based their decision on studies and many many hours spent by commitees. It's just people trying to cling to their delusions of being right.

  4. i don't like any of those plaes anyway.

  5. Really...who cares?...I'm g*y, I'm proud of it and I don't need to be analyzed to tell me how to live, where to live and with whom.
