Can you please tell me why the skin right below my fingernail has a burning sensation?

I was cooking jalapeno poppers today and after i peeled the seeds away from it, something got in my eye so i, not thinking, scratched my eye and got it into my eyes. I ran to the bathroom and flushed my eyes with water and their fine now. But the problem is, after my eyes stopped burning, the skin right below my fingernail burns really bad and i have no idea why.

When i bend my finger it really starts to burn and hurt.

Blue is where im bending my finger and the orangeish brown is where it burns.

Do you cut your cuticals away? if you do you may have cut

them and left a very tiny bit of a cut in your skin, that maybe

you can't really see, and the pepper juices got in the little

cut. so just try washing it out with water.. ♥

then maybe your skins having a weird reaction from the juices

maybe..? I'm no doctor, so I just say wash it out with some

soap // luke warm water, and see if it keep hurting. if it does

then i'd go to the doctor... otherwise it may just be irritation or something.
