  1. You know, I'm not sure that phrase is going to translate very well.

    "stealing one's heart" is an English idiom, and translating idioms literally into other languages rarely work out. And if I gave the closest equivalent to "stealing one's heart" in Chinese, the second half of the sentence would not make sense with the first half.

    For example, the Spanish equivalent of "pulling one's leg" is "taking one's hair." (tomarle el pelo). If I were translating this corny Spanish joke into English, it would make no sense whatsoever:

    "¡Me estás tomando el pelo!"

    "No es difícil cuando te vistes con una peluca."

    "You're pulling my leg!"

    "It's not hard, when you're wearing a wig."
