Can you please walk me through making a slide show with music,text,images and my pics?...?

i tried to make one in "my dvd plus" but i could only put music and pics...then i went to powerpoint but i can't add the music, is there something im doing wrong? i want to make one of my kids then burn it onto a dvd/cd. I just stated using a computer about a year ago so i dont know much but i do know the basics. thank you. SLIDE SHOW with pics, images , text and music.

Download Microsoft's Photostory (legal and free) and it will walk you through the process. Very easy and quite effective, especially for the price.
