Can you pls. tell me about the Bermuda Triangle?

I don't know if it's an actual place, or just a legend. I also want to know how it got started. Thx.

  1. it's a triangular portion of the atlantic ocean that is formed around Melbourne, Florida, Bermuda, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lots of ships and planes have been known to have disappeared in the area, without  a trace. Christopher Columbus, upon passing the area in 1492, reported seeing something like flames rolling up and down...it's much of a mystery. just try those links they recommended you

It is a trangular area of the Atlantic with the point s at Miami, Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico.  A large number of planes and ships have disappeared in this area.  The best known was a flight of 5 Navy Avengers on a training flight.  The last messages from them said they couldn't tell which direction they were going and couldn't tell the sea from the sky.  All  disappeared without leaving any wreckage.

    It has been suggested that there is a nexus of magnetic lines in that area that makes the instruments not work.  That however, wouldn't explain the disappearing ships and boats.  There has also been speculation that CO2 bubbling from the ocean floor breaks the surface tension, causing the boats to sink.  That one doesn't explain the planes.  So, it is still a mystery.  I've added a couple of references, but for the moment, the paste function doesn't seem to be working.  You can just do a search for Bermuda Triangle to find the other sites.
