Can you potty train a Hamster?

yes u can buy a litter box for hamster at the pet store i have one my hamster uses it to pee in but not to p**p in and get a female them like humans better and some will let u pet them for like a treat mine does

hamsters tend to always go to the same part of there cage to do the toilet. they'll choose a corner thats is far away from the area they choose to sleep. once you can see what corner the hamsters uses put a small tray or something in that corner and it will be easier to clean.

you might find that your hamster will poo in more than one area but that cannot be helped. :-)

You cannot potty train a hamster.  Why would you want to do that?  That is very stupid.

I guess you can but  it doesnt really matter if they "go" in their cage. and for a boy hamster I love the name hermie and rover.and for a girl i like juliet and bubbles

yes, you can.

unlike degus hamsters can be potty trained.

place a lid from a coffee container and fill it with wood shavings.

(PS.all hamsters are not the same, some will go some wont)

My hamster was potty trained!

All I did was find out what corner he made the bathroom and a put a little plastic Tupperware dish in there (the same spot he made his potty) with some of his bedding he had urinated on and that little bowl had been his potty ever since.

Yep I trained mine. You can buy a little john, habitrail playground corner toilet, or even the crittertrail outhouse. The outhouse comes with litter and a scoop! Hope this helps!!

yes, it is actually really easy. you will have to buy a few thing though.

1- get a lid from some plastic ware u don't use and put bedding in it. i do reccomend this if u can though -

2- find the corner/area that the hamster "goes" in

3- put the potty together with the litter in it and place it in the cage where he "goes"

4- put a little bit of his "used" bedding into the potty

5- watch him to see what he does

6- place a little more in if he still doesn't get the hang of it in a day or two

thats about it. it worked pretty well for my little guy and it saved a lot of his cage too. if s/he doesn't get the hang of it right of the bat, don't give up, she will eventually. just place a little bit more in there and make sure its the wet stuff.

I have a hamster and she ispotty trained all u have to do is sit the potty in the cage and sit the hamster in it then she will start using it it is a lot asier and female cause they seem to bite less and they are sweeter and don't sleep all day They enjoy being out and playing with you
