Can you prevent gums from receding any further?

Ok. So I'm 14 and the front tooth in my mouth seems to have a receding gum line. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from receding anymore? I'm afraid the tooth will fall out because it's a permanent tooth. I use a soft bristle toothbrush and I have been using the Crest toothpaste with Baking Powder and Peroxide. I don't know if this will cause more receding. Please recommend some items that will help me.

this happened to my friend while she had braces

her ortho said that when she brushes her teeth she should gently brush the bottom of the gum up. but GENTLY!

soo i suggest you try that because it worked for my friend.

If you have receding gums, it is indeed a cause for concern and the best thing that can help you is to see your dentist as soon as possible so that your dentist can assess the extent of any gum problems and can be able to giver appropriate recommendations and certain treatments that can improve the condition.
