  1. Old misdemeanor...yes.

    Misdemeanor warrant?...no.

You are wanted by the law.

  2. A misdemeanor does not change your status with regard to firearms under federal law...

    ...UNLESS...

...it is a misdemeanor of domestic violence.  In which case you are boned for the rest of your life.

  3. Misdermeanor warrant?  That means you have never been arrested and gone to trial.  Guess what?  They are going to do a background check on you and the police (depending on the type of warrant) may be sent to the gunshop to serve you with the warrant as you are standing there at the counter, waiting to see what the background check is going to say.

  4. ummm...when you buy a gun from a store they will call the FBI to do a background check. If you have a warrant out then I dont think you want them to call the FBI at all...especially to tell them your buying a gun. Take care of the warrant first then get your gun. However, If the misdemeanor is like an unpaid traffic ticket then i dont think you will have a probelm, also, your laws might be different than mine.

  5. as long as it is not a felony, but if you fill out paper work you will probably have to lie ,

  6. An open warrant?

And you're instituting a background check?

    Lotsa luck friend!

  7. dont be stupid they'll do a backround check

  8. In Michigan you should be able to purchase a rifle even if you have a misdemeanor warrant. That being said, some dealers will refuse to sell to you when that information comes back on your background check. Most won't have a problem selling you a rifle.

  9. depends if you can get the misdemeanor resolved. cause over here in cali you cant get one if have a unresolved misdemeanor. but i dont know your laws to well. but i think its the same. it is the same DoJ so i would imagine so.

  10. I would half to say NO.

The Brady Bunch paperwork asks if you are a fugitive if I remember correctly. And you do not want to lie to the dealer.
