Can you purchase the Roku Netflix Player in retail stores?

You can only order the Roku device online at this point, however it is easy to do and it arrives quickly.

If you really don't want to buy online, you might consider waiting a bit for the LG Netflix devices. They are planning a stand alone Netflix player as well as a Netflix player integrated into a Blu-Ray DVD player. These should be available through normal retail outlets.

Another alternative is the Xbox 360. It will have the Netflix player integrated into it (the same functionality as the Roku) after it's Fall update which is due in October. There is also a price drop on the Xbox 360's which should hit sometime in September which should make this an even more attractive option.
