No not at all. But if you buy dwarfs from the same litter, then yes. But not Syrians AT ALL. Syrians will eventually fight to the death!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... that is true, they will try to be dominant and will kill each other. it is just natural for them to be solitary, that is just the way they are. it is MANDATORY that you get a cage for each one.

Syrians will fight.

Dwarves have a slight chance of getting along, but probably won't if they're not littermates.  Even littermates can end up not getting along once they hit maturity.

It works best if the cage is very large, and if they are very young.  Also, for dwarves they HAVE to be the same kind of dwarf.  A Cambell's will not get along with a robo.

It depends on the breed of hamster, how old they are when you introduce them, etc. Make sure they are the same breed! Keep in mind, if you are going to get another hamster, be prepared to buy another cage incase they do not get along. When you put them together, keep a close eye on them for a while, if they are seriously fighting then separate them a get a new cage for the second hamster.

Not a good idea. Hamsters like to live alone. I did get 2 dwarf littermates (was told they do okay together). Big Mistake!

Some will fight, it depends, most males do not go well together unless they have been together since birth. Though still i have worked in a pet store and seen some hamsters get hostile even with others since they were little, its not the best thing to do.

works with gerbils...not hamsters...only litter mates and a mating pair...my neihbors had one eat the other...after it died of an infected wound...

ive read hamsters for dummies and ive also had experience....the lady above me is wrong...if you dont believe me Google it please...
