Can you put Avid BB7's on a Schwinn Mesa Hardtail?

I was wondering if I could put Avid BB7 Disc brakes on the Schwinn Mesa or any similar disc brakes for the Mesa. Thanks in advance

Fair warning - if you switch from V-Brakes to disc  brakes, you will also have to replace cables and housing, as well as get a new set of wheels. You might be money ahead to get a disc-equipped bike rather than spend $300-400+ upgrading a $200 bike.

Yep, no problem.  The frame and fork have the mounting tabs for the calipers, so you just need to bolt them up and install new cables and housing (they'll need to be considerably longer than what you have now for your v-brakes).  

You can choose absolutely any disc brake you want to for the bike, but the BB7's are a great choice.
