So just replace the brakes if one goes for a smaller size wheel/rim? Thank you!

  1. Yes you can. You just won't have any working brakes on it because as its smaller that the 26" the brakes pads will not line up with the rim itself.

  2. yes, its possible but if you want to have v-brakes you'll have to find a way to attach brakes further down the frame

  3. No.  The pedals will be either two or six inches closer to the ground, and you wont be able to pedal or take turns without the pedal hitting the ground.  Unless you get some short cranks and then your wont have any where to mount the brakes.

  4. More than likely yes. But you will not have rim brakes.

You need to get brakes, and verify clearances and axle widths.

  5. yea, you just will have to use disc brakes because rime brakes won't work

  6. yea you can put smaller tires on there but not bigger
