  1. A fish tank is not the same environment as a lake.  The blue gill will probably get stressed out and die.  When fish get stressed, usually they become less immune to disease and get sick.  Your goldfish releases a dangerous chemical in its waste called Ammonia and that is natural for a goldfish, but will kill your blue gill.  Ammonia can breed bacteria too, so usually it is good to have a goldfish alone or it will kill other fish.

  2. how big is the tank it depends if the tank is too small it wont live.

and if the gold fish is tiny, the blue gill might eat it.

  3. Bluegills depending on the type can get up to 16" that is the size of a dinner plate. I don't know what kind of goldfish or size of tank you have but I would advise against putting them together.

Goldfish swim around alot and bluegills which are a type of sunfish are very sedentary fish as in they do a lot of sitting around.
