Can you put a design on a pickguard?

I have a Fender Stratocaster guitar and I am replacing the pickguard on it. I want to know if I can get a design drawn or burnt onto it.

Yes, it can be done. I used to make my own pick guards and always decorated them. They can be etched easily with a rotory tool and a small bit. Put the design on paper, place carbon paper under it, on the guard and re-trace. Then you can engrave or etch it in.
