Hi, my mom always complains about the p**p and I have spent a long time running after my bird(parakeet) when it flies away so I figured a flight suit would be the best solution. I was looking at the site and I saw that the leashes are only 20 inch long and are like lanyards. So I was wondering if you can just buy a thin dog leash(like one of those ones where you can adjust the length with a button) and attach it to the flight suit.

P.S. I already ordered a Petite Summer flightpack special that comes with a flight suit, leash, and flight liners :)

  1. As long as the leash isn't heavier.

  2. Yes, you can attach a longer lease to the flight suit.

  3. I suppose that a more practical solution is to have it in a large enough cage most of the time.  When it comes time to take it out, you could bring the cage into a room and close the door.  Once inside, you could let him fly around in there.  If you wanted to, you could have a floor guard too.
