  1. You can if your name is Mr Honda and you have your own scooter factory. Otherwise, get used to kick starting it or sell it and buy one which has electric start already.

  2. sure it can be installed .. just check if ur vehicle battery rating allows so ... ask ur mechanic or the nearest workshop

  3. Yes, you can.  There aer some other things that go with it but it can be done. The Predator Mini Chopper comes with an electric starter, with a pull back up so there is someone out there that can help you do the same.  You might want to try a small engine shop that sells lawn mowers and such.  They should be able to point you inthe right direction.

  4. Yes you can, i have a 49cc with an electric start, it works fine as long as your bike is run for long enough to recharge after you start it

    Hope this helps

  5. simply no.

  6. I wouldnt know where to get one but my moped came sock with electric start.

  7. yes if you can fit the battery.

  8. well you can do any thing W/proper knowlage i dont know whar to get one?

  9. Practically speaking, no.

  10. If your scoot didn't come with electric start, you're probably out of luck; an electric starter would have to have a mounting point engineered into the block.

Check around and see if a version of your bike was ever available that did have electric start; if so, see if you could switch out your existing engine for one that has the starter installed.  This is kind of an expensive mod to make; is it really that hard to start?  If you can't kick it to life in five tries or less, there's something wrong with your bike.  Maybe all you need is some new filters and a tune-up.

  11. yes sweety, I have one on mine.....very useful it is too!

I'd reccomend it, as it's just press (obviously, they tend not to work unless you pull a brake at the same time it's supposed to be the left brake, but most just pull the right, as the electric start tends to be on that side).

so yeah, you can, but it may cost a bit, unless you know someone who deals with that stuff, i wouldnt reccomend doing it yourself though hun, as electrics aint to be messed with....Does'nt your kickstart work that well?? Or is it, you just want the convenience of an electric start??

Most garages do them, but some bike shops may sell it, and they may be able to fit it, but I'd relly get a garage which deals in mostly motorcycles......you'll get more chance of them doing it, and also may be cheaper, or have cheaper options than those which dont normally do it, as they will want to charge you more!GOOD LUCK SWEETY!

  12. not practicable!

reasons why no electric start on a 50cc

#1 weight savings, the added weight of a starter, gears, bigger stator, battery

#2 a 50cc doesn't have the charging system to supply the power for a starter

#3 a 50cc engine is so small its easy to turn over by hand or foot

  13. to my knowledge you can't just bolt on a peice to your motor and clip on a button to the handlebars...

in short, no you can't. it's only a 50cc engine, even fi they did make a kit to do it, something tells me it'd be cheaper to just buy a 50cc motor with electric start on it already rather then trying to add it to a motor that wasn't designed with it in the first place.

  14. if it didnt come with then you probely cant .

  15. You little wanna be biker. ya want a sissy switch for a 50cc.

    Your a discrace

  16. Anything is possible, but is it cost effective?

You can put any electric starter on if you can find one that will line up with the flywheel. It will have to have a mount made to hold the starter/solenoid. Then you will need to have a battery with a way to charge the battery, (this is where things get tricky and expensive), as one other has mentioned, you may want to sell what you have and purchase one that has all stock. There really is a lot to it and I can't give you every aspect in this forum, so please forgive me. But I will say this, keep up the imagination and you will be set apart from the rest of the world, you can see that in just reading what has been mentioned for answers....  : )

  17. No, I'm sorry young lady.

There would have to be a an opening or port for the starter to bolt on, and a flywheel with a toothed gear already installed within the engine, an expensive extra at the point of economical manufacture.  Then you would need a cumbersome battery, which is not safe in itself and needs to be encased, and some wiring.

  18. Yes you can, and there are 2 known ways of doing it.

    1. Remove engine and discard. Fit electric start where engine used to be.

    2. Remove rear wheel and discard. fit electric start where rear wheel used to be.

  19. It really isn't worth the effort and expense.  If you can add a starter, you will need a battery, then you need to generate power to keep the battery charged. This is going to be a pretty big can of worms just to start a chainsaw engine.

  20. hold on here what moped have you got,  they almost have both anyway and you just cant bolt one on any where it has to be in fitting with the crankshaft and casings no good even trying

  21. I would look the model up and find a dealer. Then I would check to see if it was/is an option that can be dealer installed. If not, you can always start throwing parts at it until something works.

  22. no

  23. To start with you need to look on your engine and see if there is a spot made to put the starter itself. There is usually a plate of some kind bolted over the spot where the starter would go. This plate serves as a way to cover the hole in the block that is made for the starter to go into. If you have this plate then you can put a starter on yours... But if you don't have this plate then you cannot put a starter on yours. A snowmobile engine works the same way... There is a plate where the starter would go then you can put one on...  If there is no plate... Then you may not install one. You see you must also have a ring gear on the engine for the starter to engade into. If you don't have a starter then you probably don't have a ring gear either. Another thing you'll need is the wiring harness for the electric start. and a battery box and battery cables. Also whatever else is needed for the electric start system. Plus a ignition switch as well as some kind of way to charge the battery. The way your moped is set up now is that you have a magneto coil inside of your flywheel... Each coil provides power for different things like spark to start it, one for the headlight and so on. With electric start you'll need a different kind of magneto coil...  This magneto is different in that it is made for the electric start only. Your best bet would be to find a wreaked moped just like yours that has all the parts for the electric start including the battery box and all of the wiring needed to convert yours to electric start plus the starter itself. Yes it can be done... You just need to find one like yours and put all the stuff from that one onto yours. As to the location... Your best bet would be to try the local junkyards... If they don't have it ask them where you could buy it. They have a network of sources that they can refer to. Hope this helps you.

  24. Have you got a battery box, that will fit inside it? Have you got an alternator, and voltage regulator, and a rectifier Bridge you can put on the bike, hook it up make it work? And finally have you got a starter motor, and starter relay, that you can adapt and install on the electrics of this bike. Because if you had all those things, you would still have to know how to wire them into a machine that they were not designed for.

And when you installed them and wired them you'd have to run every one of them back to the new IGNITION SWITCH. Which means after you have to patch all that c**p into it, you have to cut the wires AGAIN to wire them into the switch.

Just run on down to wal-mart pick up a new electrical system for the moped! Oh, and a new starter switch too. Thanks, honey!

  25. what the he11 for ?

a two year old could kick start one of those things

  26. I do not think so

  27. Some model mopeds already have an electric starter built into them but as far as putting an electric starter on one that was already made with one on it I didn't think so? Some state or local laws won't consider your bike as a moped unless it has a kick  or pedal starter on it and 50 cc or less in engine size.

  28. Yes You Can But Why There Is Really No Need I Can Do My Kick Start With My Hand Lolz

  29. Dude, it's like a freekin weed eater!!! If you are having problems pulling the cord then I sugest golds gym
