Can you put a green puffer and a dragon fish in the same tank together?

I have four green puffers and I would like to know if we can put a dragon fish in with them. I know that the puffers are fin nippers and I don't want to get a dragon fish if the puffers are not going to get along with him.

  1. the puffers require brackish conditions, as do the dragon fish (which i'm assuming is actually a dragon goby)   yes the puffers are fin nippers, but they may be better in a group

  2. O.K. if it is a arowana dragon fish you are talking about then the puffer will be eaten when the aro is 40cm which is in like a years time. If it is a violet goby, then you are fine. They are 2 very good companions. Puffer fish are cool and you should just know that they start to jump. If it is an arowana you are talking about then I would scratch the puffer and get the aro. They are the best fish in the world but require a 180 gallon tank. The gobygrows to 60cm and will need a 90 gallon tank. They are big fish. If the dragon is not bigger then the puffer then do not put it in. Hope this helps.

  3. Yes but the puffer will be a little more  aggressivee to the dragon fish at first. They do get along.

  4. NO YOU CANNOT DO THAT....I made that mistake and the GSP killed the goby....they (GSP) should be in the tank alone.

Please stop buying your fish from wal*mart
