  1. yes. and set up a a camera you can record just in case they get in a cage fight.

  2. nooooooooooooo! it would b different if u put 2 of the same kind in there, but dont put 2 different animals together. ur rat would probably kill ur hamster. (when hamsters lay on there back they r panacking.) neither of ur animals would be happy.

  3. I wouldn't if I were you.   Unless you want one of them dead.....  ^_^

  4. Absolutely not. Hamsters are solitary animals and can be very territorial.

Rats are predators, so with or without threat from the hamster, they know how and can kill a hamster within seconds.

A friend of mine found that out the hard way when she decided to put her mouse in with my rat, without my knowledge. My rat snapped the mouse's neck. Instant death.

  5. I would not advise it. My experience with hamsters is that they can be aggressive little buggers. At a pet store I saw them put a gerbil with a hamster while they cleaned the gerbil cage and the hamster almost killed the little guy. I bought him and took him home to take care of him since I felt sorry for the little gerbil and eventually he healed to live a mostly good life, but I'd advise being very careful about what you choose for a hamsters roommate.

  6. I wouldn't.
