Can you put a left-handed tremolo onto a right-handed guitar?

I play guitar left-handed. I was thinking about buying a Fender Jaguar or Jazzmaster, and I want to buy one with a whammy bar. If i bought one, then restrung it to be a lefty, could I buy a left-handed tremolo and put it into the right-handed tremolo's place? If so, about how much would it cost for a good left-handed tremolo? And lastly, would I be able to do it myself? Or would I need to get it custom done?
