Can you put a staff bag on a cart?

Staff bags are so much cooler, but I don't want to carry them around. Do they work on a normal cart? Or should I leave the staff bags to the pros (and their caddies)?

  1. The large cart bags hold a huge amount of golf stuff and look like a staff bag when strapped to a cart. And the clubs are facing the right direction. Most of the staff bags don't fit well on a cart because of the large pocket in the back that's usually stuffed with towels, rain suits and bag covers. If that pocket is empty they do fit a lot better.

  2. They will fit a cart, but obviously they can be a bit tight, especially if your cart-mate also has a cart/staff bag.

If you travel a lot and take your clubs, a carry bag may work a lot better due to airline weight restrictions.

  3. some times you can you just to turn them backwards unless it is a realy big one then it will not fit at all

  4. The biggest ones don't fit that well.  I have a Hogan 9 inch staff bag and it goes on the cart barely, and is showing wear in spots where it rubs against parts of the cart.  They are really designed to be carried by a caddy.  If you get a smaller (8 inch) staff bag you will have better luck.

  5. No, they normally will fit.  Good luck!
