Can you put a sub into a stage?

my buddies and I are building a stripper pole/stage and we are planning on putting one of our subs into the side of the stage. the stage is 4ft. wide and 4ft. long and its going to be ether 1foot - 3 feet tall. and the sub is an eclipse 10" we will be putting a good bit of supports inside the stage so im guessing it will cut down some of the air space. but how would it sound. should we even try it?

You could do it if you really wanted to. Just make sure to put an enclosure behind it. Don't use the whole stage as the enclosure.
