  1. the iphone can work with ANY SIM from the Approved network in this case O2 including any contract or PAYG SIM.

Unlocking the iphone is not an option to consider as it has to be jail broken that causes all sorts of problems ranging from losing memory to resetting to being a dead brick (and warranty is void if this is done).

you CAN get SIM overlays that fool the phone into thinking that the SIM they sit on is a approved network these are found on the internet.

but basically O2 has best network coverage in UK and most reliable connections. that's why apple chose it!

  2. When u buy an iphone you have to use the sim supplied otherwise it won't work.

BUT. . . . if ur desperate to use a different sim on a different network it is possible (just don't say i told you). You need to get the iphone unlocked which unfortunately costs a lot more than the normal unlocking of a phone. But it is possible. maybe set you back about £75 last time i checked.

Or you can do it yourself if you feel up to it and it will cost you about £25. (check out link below and also the reviews page).

    Hope that helped.
