Can you put babysitting for Job experience?? On a job application for a clothing store???

I am 17 and interested in working in a retail clothing store but have no prior work experience in that nature.... but i have babysat for many people in the past...

my mom said i could put that on the application under work experience....but i don't really think so....

any suggestions?

Yes, you can.

It shows that you have a certain level of responsibility.

If there are one or two families that you have worked a lot with, ask them if you can list them as references.    That is always a good sign.
