can you put caramel on a flan after it's done?

i made a flan yesterday and i didnt make enough carmel to cover it

can i make more caramel and pour it over the flan even though it is cooked and chilled?

it wont be eaten until tomorrow

Yeah you sure can..i've done that before.

I am telling you know. Do not do it.

This is because the caramel cools first and see it will be seperated and not taste good.

Don't do it.

maybe just make it and drizzle over the flan before serving

Yes you can, just bring the flan to room temp, before adding the extra caramel, and the put back in fridge to set.   Hope you enjoy it  Kaye
