  1. More than not Yes.

Most popular banks have a feature where you can put your deposit in an envelope and drop it inside the ATM, most times it's like a standard deposit in your bank, fill out the deposit slip, sign everything, etc, etc.

With cash as opposed to check it will take less time, but in many cases it's simply easier to just take care of it inside the bank.

  2. Yes almost all popular bank provide this services.

earlier icici and hdfc had provide this service.

  3. Of course.  You can deposit cash (bills only) or cheques (checks) into your bank account using the ATM at YOUR bank's machines.

You cannot, however, use another financial institution's ATM.  Deposits are NOT interchangeable like withdrawals.

  4. Permanent tsb have those big orange machines inside their branches where you can do that but you cant use a regular ATM, it just wouldnt be secure enough Id imagine!

  5. All four major banks in South Africa allow deposits of cheques and cash at their ATM machines.  Don't know about other countries.

  6. I don't think so. Or atleast ones where I live don't. However there is a drop box where you can drop off your money to be inserted into your account as soon as the bank opens but I don't think that it's a very good idea to do that because you won't get a recipt of drop off and you never know how honest people are.
