Can you put more memory in a mac laptop ?

The one i am looking at is the new macbook (regular not pro) it comes with 1gb RAM ( i don't really under stand it all) and was going to put an extra 1gb of memory in it/btw is there a max on how much memory u can put on a computer?

generally the most ram you can put in your computer depends upon how many slots you have to ram cards into.

to put the ram into your new macbook, turn off your computer, take a coin, and unlock the battery. the battery should pop up a bit, and you should take it out. along the long wall of where the battery was, near the hinge of the monitor and base, there should be two very small phillips head screws. you may need to go to your local cvs or walgreens to get a jewlers kit if you don't have a small enough screwdriver already. once you open that up, you should see where to put in the ram cards. make sure they are facing the right direction. when your done, simply s***w the metal cover back on, place the battery back in, lock it, and turn on your computer. when you turn on your computer, you will probably see a message telling you that you have new hardware. simply install it, and you should be good.

yes u can add more, its easy open up the back panel n pop it in. yeah the box should tell u the maximum amount ur motherboard supports

Yes, it's possible to add more memory to the Macbook. I currently have a macbook I just bought recently. I upgraded it to 4gb RAM. [Max memory is 4gb RAM (2x2GB)]

You can just buy a regular DDR2 PC2-5300 laptop memory. BTW, memory for PC and MAC is the same.

I actually got my memory on newegg, brand: G-Skill.
