Can you put new grip on a tennis racket by yourself?

  1. Yes. It's not hard, but once you do it 4-5 times you get the hang of it and it becomes a 2-4 week routine of putting it on!


  2. Duh, no one else will do it for you.but you have to be carfull not to take the base grip(the original grip) off your racket, and when you're buying grips always buy the over grip.

  3. yes, but you might only need a new overgrip (which only takes a minute to put on)  But I'd try it, if you can't do it take it to a stringer, it isn't very difficult and its nice knowing you can fix your own equipment.

  4. If you're talking about an over grip, its pretty easy, just wrap and tape. If you are talking about a replacement grip, that takes a bit more work. Heres a video that goes through the steps.

  5. Yes, it takes just a little bit of practice but after about 3 to 4 regrippings you start to get the hang of it. They sell tournagrips and hydrasorb grips just about anywhere in packs of 3 or you can get a bulk reel online at tenniswarehouse.com ect..
