  1. Can you? Sure. Should you? Absolutely not. a 195/60 will be narrower and considerably smaller in diameter than what is on there now, so your speedometer and odometer will read higher than it should.

    Here's what the numbers mean:

195/205 - the width of the tire at its widest point, in mm

60/70 - the profile rating. The height of the tire from the rim to the tread will be 60% of 195 on the new tire, vs 70% of 205 on the old.

15 - the inside diameter (wheel diameter) in inches.

Definitely do not do this. In addition to the aforementioned speedo/odo thing, it probably won't ride or handle as well, and will look dumb.

  2. Yes but your speed will not be accurate.

Also don't forget to check the load index refers to the load-carrying capacity of a tire, or how much weight a tire can support

  3. yes is the short answer..

  4. yes you can as long as the rim takes the tire, just make sure your car wont ride too low, also it will knock the calibration of your speedometer off a little, but you really shouldnt have any issues fitting a slightly smaller tire, also make sure the tire can handle the weight of your car.
