  1. Yes.

  2. use 87 if it knocks use 89 and so on. its very simple. i do it with ANY commuter vehicle.

  3. Don't pay any attention to "Cleo_Evens."  You can go on the site he provided and it will say "Fuel Recommended" Premium.  Not required.  So yeah you can use regular gas.  Cleo_Evens is right that the car will lose power.  But non of the knocking stuff.  But in all I'd still use premium in the Lexus.  Premium is high octane it just burns hotter and cleaner.  It leaves no waste in the engine and it will increase gas mpg's after long use of premium.  But if your in a shortage of money to spend on Premium, yeah its fine to use regular gas.  And if you want to use regular all the time the engine will lose power cause the gas won't burn hot and clean enough, so in time it will just leave waste in the engine.

  4. No.   You car is designed for requires 91 octane gas.  If you put regular gas 87 octane, you might hear some pinging from your engine.  Because of knock sensors in modern engines, the timing will be adjusted, but you will be loosing power, and possibly do more damage.  I have from time to time put 89 octane and didnt have any problems, but under heavy acceleration, I did hear the engine knock.

  5. There's a little bit of truth in everyone's comments, from it will knock, it won't knock, you'll lose power, you won't lose power.  The basic thing is that there are some vehicles designed to run on premium to get the car's maximum horsepower, but because of the modern engine and sensors, you can run on regular and not have the engine knock.

Basic rule of thumb is, fill up with lowest octane (usually 87) and work your way up to the point where you get best performance, meaning no knocking.  If you put in 87 and it knocks that times, that's no good.  So next go up to 89, then 91, etc.  You may find 87 is good enough for you, in which case 87 is good for you.

The only real benefit is that the top tier gas companies (ie. Exxon/Mobil, Sunoco, Shell, etc.) add fuel additives to help keep engines cleaner, but you can do the same thing by adding a good fue injector cleaner every 3000 miles or so.

  6. Yes, it's designed to run on regular gas.

  7. do not make the car empty--empty,  future  you might hear some thing

you do not like to hear. do not used regular its( luxury car 91 pre.unleaded)  but because the price of gas  high.  you can   used 89 unleaded, then your okey

  8. By regular I'm assuming you mean regular unleaded? Yeah, it will run on regular unleaded, and they've actually shown how premium unleaded doesn't really help your car that much.

Make sure to get your Lexus as close to empty as you can before you put in regular. Then see how it runs. If you think it performs better with premium, then go back. There's no harm.
