Can you put resin (crystal sheen) over acrylic paint?

  1. As far as I know you can because one way suggested to seal porous materials like paper before coating with epoxy resin (or casting with polyester resin) is to use thinned permanent white glue --which is in the same family.

    Since acrylic paint contains water though, you'd want to make sure the paint is totally dry first.

  2. yes but the paint should be dry for at least 24 hours- if there is any moisture left it can cause the resin to not set properly and can cause bubbles.
